I’m Paula, pastry chef and founder of ‘Little Sweet Patisserie by Paula Garcez.’ After ten years as a science and mathematics teacher, I followed my heart into the world of gastronomy.
I earned my gastronomy diploma in Brazil, specializing in desserts and patisserie, and completed an internship at Sofitel Rio de Janeiro, where I learned from renowned French chefs Dominique Guerin and Rolland Villard.

I’m always exploring new trends and techniques in this fascinating field. Through courses, workshops, and events, both in person and online, I continuously expand my skills and refine my craft.
Little Sweet Patisserie is my way of blending flavors and traditions from around the world, bringing together unique ingredients to create something truly special.
My Philosophy & Approach
I describe Little Sweet Patisserie as a ‘fusion patisserie.’ I love using ingredients from around the globe, and every sweet I make reflects my personal taste and style. Each creation is a blend of family recipes, years of experience, and inspiration drawn from my journey.
New Zealand has given me the freedom and inspiration to experiment and develop unique flavors that resonate with my heart.
